She grew up on the family farm north of Dickinson and attended local country schools. Vi then attended high school in Dickinson and graduated from Model High School. On January 11, 1943 Viola married Henry Kadrmas at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson. The couple made their home on the family farm five miles west of Dickinson. It was there where they made their living and raised their family. In 1982 they retired from the farm, and moved to Dickinson where they lived in Vi?s parents home. Vi loved sewing and embroidered countless towels for many of her family and friends, yet never had a set of her own. She also liked to play cards and have coffee with her friends. Henry and Vi enjoyed dancing and attended many old time dances throughout the region. Vi was fond of eating out especially for Sunday Brunch because she said her kitchen was closed on Sundays. Viola was very fond of the trips she made with Henry to visit their grandchildren in Wisconsin. She was long time member of TOPS and St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. She is survived by: her husband, Henry, Dickinson; one son, Rodney (Beverly) Kadrmas of LaCrosse, WI; three grandchildren, Kevin Kadrmas, Brian (Robin) Kadrmas and Kimberly Kadrmas, all of LaCrosse WI; two great grandchildren, Lauren and Natalie Kadrmas; one brother, Ed Pribyl, of Dickinson; one sister, Martha Brown of Dickinson, ND.
