Funeral Services for Violet D. ?Vi? Kuntz, 82, of Hebron are 11:00 a. m. , CST, Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at St. John United Church of Christ in Hebron, ND with Pastor Gaylund Olson officiating. Burial will be later this spring in the St. John Cemetery in Hebron. Visitation will be Monday, April 4, 2011 from 4:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. CST with a Prayer Service being held at 7:00 p. m. CST at the Spangelo-Stevenson Funeral Home, Hebron, ND. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service at St. John United Church of Christ. Violet was born on May 30, 1928, the daughter of John and Emelia (Magstadt) Bohnet in Mott, ND. She grew up and attended school in New Leipzig where she graduated from high school. Vi, as she was known by all, attended Dickinson State Teachers College where she received her teaching degree. She began teaching in a one room school house south of New Leipzig. Vi was married to Rudolph Heupel and to this union a daughter, Cheryl was born. Vi and the family moved to Hebron where she worked at J. C. Penney for several years. Vi began her career with Montana Dakota Utilities in 1956 and worked there for the next 36 years. She retired as district cashier in 1992. After the death of Rudolph in 1974, Vi was married to Eldred Kuntz in 1979. Together, they made their home in Hebron. In 1980 Eldy?s son, Shawn joined the family. Vi enjoyed traveling, spending winters in California, quilting, collecting angels, oil painting and visiting with her friends and family. She was a member of the St. John Church Guild and served as president for many years as well as a member of the Merry Maids Homemakers. Vi also served on the City of Hebron Zoning Commission. Survivors include: her husband Eldred, Hebron, ND; a daughter, Cheryl Stock, Chanhassen, MN; a step-son, Shawn (Angel) Kuntz, Wishek, ND; three grandchildren, Eric, Brayden and Tyler; and a brother, Robert (Lillian) Bohnet, Bismarck, ND. and a very special friend, Arlene Klein, Hebron, ND;She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Rudolph; and a brother, Donald. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer?s Association, Minnesota-North Dakota, 45550 W. 77th St. Ste 200, Minneapolis, MN 55435 or St. John Guild of Hebron, ND
