Violet Weisgerber

Violet M. Weisgerber, 82, Dickinson, died Friday, January 23, 2004, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. Tuesday, January 27, 2004, at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with the Rev. Dennis Schafer celebrating. Interment will be in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation will be noon to 9 p. m. Monday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, with a rosary and prayer service at 7 p. m. led by Deacon Ralph Stockert. Visitation will continue Tuesday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home from 8 a. m. to 9:30 a. m. Violet M. Taylor was born May 18, 1921 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to John H. and Esther (Tyberg) Taylor. She attended school in Minneapolis. She worked as a waitress prior to her marriage where she met her future husband, Matthew Weisgerber. They were married April 20, 1948, in Northwood, Iowa. They moved to Dickinson in 1956. Violet worked as a cook at Sims Caf? for many years. She entered St. Benedict?s Health Center in 1986. Matthew died in 1993. While residing at St. Benedict?s, she enjoyed bingo, going to lunch, shopping and family gatherings. Her family was her life. Violet had a smile that could light up anyone?s heart and she only had love to give. Violet will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Violet is survived by her daughters, Marge (Ted) Kostelecky, Dickinson, Char (Allen) Ridl, Dickinson, Lynn (Jim) Gatzke, Fargo, and Brenda (Mark) Keller, Grand Forks, ND; son, Dominick, Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Burnetta Scherer, Minneapolis, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two granddaughters, and two brothers.
