Virginia Ann (Geving) Cox passed away peacefully on July 23, 2018 at Pennington Gardens in Chandler, AZ at the age of 93.

Virginia was born in Baker, Montana on May 21, 1925, oldest of twin daughters of Albert and Wanda (Holbrook) Geving.  She attended local Fallon County schools until her parents moved the family to American Fork, Utah where she graduated from high school.  She married Robert (Bob) Cox on July 3, 1945 in Baker.  She and Bob made their home on the Cox family ranch south of Baker for the next 50+ years and were blessed with 4 children.  When they retired, they spent their summers at Canyon Ferry Lake near Helena, MT and their winters in Yuma, AZ, forming many great friendships.

Virginia was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.  She will be best remembered for her kind spirit and welcoming home.  She loved playing cards, hosting wine time and family gatherings.

Bob and Virginia were very blessed to celebrate their 60
th
wedding anniversary on July 3, 2005 before Bob’s death in August of that year.  Virginia then moved to Chandler, AZ where she resided until her death.

Virginia slipped away quietly and gracefully.  We mourn her passing but know that she is reunited with her loved ones that have passed on.

Virginia is survived by two daughters:  Sharrie (Pat) Corey, Scottsdale, AZ; Lynn (Fred) Scott, Canyon Ferry, MT; two sons: Bob (Karen) Cox, Sunlakes, AZ; Doug (Susan) Cox, Baker, MT; one sister: Shirley Smith, Medford OR; one brother: Chuck (Helen) Geving, Yuma, AZ; 8 grandchildren: LeAnn (Dan) Ferriter, Jill (Brian) Michelotti, Terri (Justin) Balkenbush, Kristin Corey, Justin (Brigitte) Corey, Andrea Corey, Danae (Andy) Ethier, and Stefanie (Casey) Scott; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her twin sister, Bessie Smith Gookin, and two grandsons, Aaron Corey and Robby Cox.
