Private family services for Wally were held by the family. In accordance with Wally’s wishes, cremation has taken place with Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory,Dickinson, North Dakota. Wallace Norman ?Wally? Neprash, 74, of Dickinson, died peacefully at his home on January 11, 2010. He was the husband of Sandra Wosepka Neprash of Dickinson. Born in Regent on July 28, 1935, he was the son of the late Godfrey ?Bill? Neprash and the late Marcella Sinkula Neprash. Wally graduated from Dickinson State University with a degree in Business Management and later furthered his education with coursework in Criminal Investigation. Following his graduation, he served in the United States Army for four years and was stationed in Germany. After fulfilling his commitment to the army, he began working for the National Park Service, from which he retired in 1990 after a lifelong career in Law Enforcement Management. Wally received recognition for his service, including honors and medals for his conduct while on a security assignment for President Reagan during a summit in Virginia. His work with the Park Service moved him around the country and gave his family opportunities for which his children are forever grateful. Upon retiring, he and Sandy moved back to North Dakota and purchased Lariat Liquors in Killdeer. Wally enjoyed trips to Four Bears Casino and spending time outdoors fishing, pheasant-hunting, and relaxing at the family farm in Regent. Besides Sandra, he leaves four children: Brian and his wife Cindy of Durham, Maine, Brenda and her husband Roger Holt of Dickinson, Pamela and her husband Walter Selover of Dickinson, and Paul and his life-partner Janell Johnson of Killdeer; a brother Donovan and his wife Viola of New England; and many nieces and nephews. Wally was the brother of the late Shirley Harlin of Akron, Ohio. Memorial donations in Wally?s memory may be made to Heartland Hospice or to Home Care Services, c/o Saint Joseph?s Hospital, Dickinson.
