Wayne Dollinger

A funeral service for Wayne Dollinger, 77, of Dickinson, will be 11:00 a. m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Pastor Tim Voth officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Wayne passed away Monday, October 19, 2015 in Watford City, ND. Wayne was born February 9, 1938 in Ashley, ND, the son of Arthur and Magdalena (Hoffman) Dollinger. He grew up and attended school there and graduated from Ashley High School. He continued his education at Concordia College for a short time. Wayne enlisted with the US Army Corp of Engineers for several years. He began his career for the US Forest Service, where he worked until he retired with many years of service. Wayne married Karmo Ritter on October 19, 1957. To this union, five children were born, Michael, Morgan, Megan, Manning, and Marnie. Together they raised their family in Oregon while Wayne worked various places for the forest service in Oregon. He retired from work in the late 1990’s. Wayne enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, photography and working on cars. Wayne is survived by his wife, Karmo; sons, Mike Dollinger of Watford City, Morgan (Cindy) Dollinger of Missoula, MT, Manning Dollinger of Dickinson; daughters, Megan (Rick) Dollinger-Faulkner of Dickinson, Marnie (Art) Dollinger-Gette of Arlington, VA; brother, Roger (Lenor) Dollinger of Bismarck; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
