Wiletta Marie Stoltz, 90, of Dickinson, passed away Friday, November 22, 2019 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson.

Wiletta Marie Urbanec was born April 4, 1929 to Anton and Clara (Ridl) Urbanec in Dickinson, ND. She grew up and attended country school at Lehigh Grade School, later graduating from Model High School. Following graduation she married Paul J. Stoltz on October 29, 1947 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Dickinson, ND. To this union 9 children were born, Kevin, Gary, Daryl, Pauletta, Delila, Rocky, Galen, Pamelee, and Jodeen. Together, she and Paul farmed, ranched, and raised their family.

The three things that meant the most to Wiletta were family, faith and gardening. She loved nothing more than being together with her family whether it be hosting family gatherings, attending grandchildren’s activities or making trips to the Donut Hole. Wiletta was an excellent hostess and everyone was always welcome at the Stoltz house. Along with her faith and church, Wiletta was often called upon to help and was always willing. Wiletta’s passion was her garden where she spent her time hoeing, singing and whistling with the meadowlarks.

Wiletta was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson participating in the choir for years, Catholic Daughters, Christian Mothers, St. Ann’s Society, the German Hungarian Club, the St. Anthony Club, Leap Year Homemakers, St. Pius Verein, Farmers Union, and was a 4-H Youth Leader. Her last 7 years were spent at St. Benedict’s Health Center in Dickinson, where she was so blessed for the wonderful care that she received.

She is survived by her children, Kevin (Rita) of New England, Gary of Dickinson, Daryl (Arlene) of Rapid City, SD, Pauletta (Dean) Baar of Gladstone, Delila (Lyle) Dassinger of Dickinson, Rocky (Lorri) of Dickinson, Galen (Sandra) of Mandan, Pamelee (Dale) Roller of Dickinson, and Jodeen (Danny) Meier of Dickinson; Brother in Law, Stanley Schmaltz; 17 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; sisters, Elsie, Carmen and husband, John Faller; and son-in-law, Pat Pierce.

Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Pine Room or to St. Benedicts Healthcare Center.
