Funeral Service for Willa Mae Flint, 81, of Baker, MT will be at 10:00 a. m. on Monday, August 9, 2010, at the American Lutheran Church in Baker with the Reverend?s Reba & Bruce Kolasch officiating. Interment will follow in the Flint family lot in Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker. Visitation will be 4:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. on Sunday, August 8th, with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home. Willa Mae passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010, at Quality Personal Care in Baker, MT. Willa Mae Flint was born to Henry and Elsie (Quinlan) Beckman on June 29, 1929, the youngest of 6 children. Willa Mae grew up on the family farm north of Baker and attended school in Baker. She was married to Walter John (Buzz) Flint on November 3, 1946. She and Buzz spent the next several years raising their three children, Brian, Kregg and Marcee and running their business, Willa?s Caf? and the Cue and Brew, Baker Drive In Theater and the Lake Theater. Willa Mae was well known for being an outstanding cook, her pizzas were especially popular, as well as a good friend to all she met. She was a wonderful and compassionate boss and was involved in every aspect of the businesses she and Buzz operated. Willa Mae loved animals; when she was growing up she spent a great deal of time riding horses with her sisters and cousins. She greatly enjoyed taking care of her cats and dogs and spoiled them. Willa Mae relished shopping and socializing with her two sisters, Alice and Jean and their families; the ?Beckman Girls? were the best of friends. She also enjoyed interior decorating; she took a great deal of pride in making her home a warm and inviting sanctuary. In her spare time she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, traveling to visit friends and family, and she always had Fox News on the TV and was eager to discuss politics with anyone. She always had a bright smile and a hug to share with anyone. Willa Mae?s family was very important to her; she enjoyed family gatherings and holidays. She lived with her grandson Tony in Arizona for a few years and was an important part of their family and cherished the time she spent with his family. In her later years, Willa Mae also lived with Marcee, Marcee?s daughter Summer and Autumn, Summer?s daughter. The four ladies grew very close during this time and shared many happy times. She was preceded in death by her husband Buzz, her son Kregg and her daughter Marcee. Willa Mae is survived by her son Brian of Surprise, Arizona, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many good friends. She will be missed by all.
