William (Bill) Bohle, 82, of Baker, passed away Friday, September 19, 2003 at the Fallon Medical Complex. He was born December 17, 1920, at Plevna the son of Frederick and Barbara (Schlecht) Bohle. Bill grew up and attended school in Plevna and served in the U. S. Navy during WW II during the years of 1944-46. He married Mary E. Lausch on May 25, 1947 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Plevna. Bill was employed by the Montana State Highway Department for almost 32 years; retiring in 1978. He was active as a Boy Scout leader and was also a member of the American Legion. Bill served in local Military Firing Squad for numerous years. After his retirement, Bill kept busy by helping and doing odd jobs for others. One of Bill?s greatest pleasures was meeting with his ?coffee buddies? every day. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Rudolph Bohle; and two sisters, Anne (Bill) Singletary and Dorothy (Otto) Schmidt. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Mary; two sons: Jack (Donna) of Bellingham, WA and DuWayne of Castro Valley, CA; a daughter, Joann (Butch) Bergstrom of Sheridan, WY; two brothers: Henry (Mae) of Plevna and Ernie (Barb) of Billings; two sisters: Alvina (Ken) Wiman of Baker and Nettie (Bill) Wilkens of Nauvoo, IL; five grandchildren: Holly (Tom) Gordian of Dickinson, ND, Beth (Ron) Carpenter and Cheri (Sean) McFall, all of Bellingham, WA, Bo Bergstrom and Jay Bergstrom, both of Sheridan, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, Bill?s family has requested that donations be made to the American Lutheran Church in Baker. A Prayer Service will be held on Monday, Sept. 22, at 7 PM at the Stevenson Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 11 AM at the American Lutheran Church, Baker. Burial will follow at Bonnievale Cemetery. Military rites will be presiding at the cemetery. A luncheon back at the church will be served following the graveside services.
