William Jung

William J. Jung, 76, rural New England, died Sunday, November 20, 2005, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. , Wednesday, November 23, 2005, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, New England, with Fr. Basil Atwell, O. S. B. , celebrating. Military Rites will be provided by the Anton Ulijohn Post # 66. Interment will be 11 a. m. MT, Friday, November 25, 2005 at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. , Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at Price-Murphy Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue Wednesday at the church on hour prior to the service. William J. Jung was born on March 14, 1929, on the family farm near Havlock, ND to Peter and Elizabeth (Wogh) Jung. He attended school to the 8th grade. William served in the U. S. Army from November 29, 1949 to August 27, 1952, during the Korean War. After his discharge from the Army, he returned home and worked as a truck driver. In October of 1955, he married Alice Frieze at St. Vincent?s Catholic Church in Mott. William worked for various custom harvesters prior to moving to Milwaukee, Wis. to work in a factory. In 1957, they returned to North Dakota to take over the family farm. William was a member of the American Legion Post #66. He is survived by: his wife Alice, rural New England; children, JoAnn Jung, Bismarck, ND, David and Nadine Jung and their son Darren of Lakewood, CO, Dan Jung, Rapid City, SD, MaDonna (Jung) and John Wyze and their children Stewart, Tanner and Dana of Cokato, MN; two sisters, Katherine Costello, Dickinson and Elizabeth and Bob Reichert, Benkelman, NE, and one brother, Peter A. Jung, Dickinson. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Peter and Elizabeth Jung; brothers, Valentine, Frank, Philip, Mike and Robert Jung; sisters, Mary Jane, Helen, and Eva, and an infant son.
