Funeral services for Winifred Beyer, 99, of Richardton, ND are 10 a. m. ,Friday, June 19, 2009 at Marian Manor HealthCare Center in Glen Ullin, ND, with Pastor Gaylund Olson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Marian Manor. Wini passed away Tuesday June 16, 2009 at Marian Manor in Glen Ullin, ND. Winifred ?Wini? Beyer was born November 20, 1909 in rural Hebron to Adam and Lena (Birkmaier) Beyer. She grew up and attended school, later graduating from Hebron High School. After school, she moved to Bismarck where she made her home until moving to Richardton and starting her restaurant, ?Beyer?s Caf??. She operated the restaurant until the early 1960?s, when she sold her caf? and went to work at Richardton Memorial Hospital. She continued to work at the hospital until she was 85 years old. She lived in Richardton this entire time and continued to live on her own until March of 2009 when she moved into Marian Manor Nursing Home in Glen Ullin. Wini loved doing crafts and enjoyed taking special care of her flower gardens. She was an avid sports fan. Wini was the Richardton Raiders #1 fan for many years. She also loved Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Wini enjoyed making cards for her family and friends and sending them on special occasions. Wini is survived by her daughter, June Singh and grandchildren; Sheila and David Singh of MacClenny, FL; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Edgar Beyer, Dickinson, ND; sisters: Elaine Bjornson, Chanhassen, MN; Lila Mae Hermes, Seattle, WA; Gladys (Ed) Renfert, Glen Ullin and Delta Bingert, Glen Ullin, ND, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.
