Winifred Dolecheck

Funeral Services for Winifred Dolecheck, 67, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson. Burial will follow in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Stevenson Funeral Home, with Rosary and Vigil Services taking place at 7:00 p. m. . Winifred passed away Friday, June 8, 2007 at Medcenter One in Bismarck, ND. Winifred Ann Kadrmas was born in Fargo, ND on April 5, 1940. She grew up in Dickinson at the foster home of Thomas and Minnie Vrzal. She attended St. Patrick?s Elementary and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1958. On October 17, 1959 Winifred married Richard A. Dolecheck at St. Patrick?s Church. The couple has called Dickinson home to this day. Even as a child she had planned a career as a secretary and was able to pursue her dreams for 32 years. She was employed at Dickinson High school, Husky Industries, Barber Transportation, and finally at Bussier Tax Services from 1980-1990. Two bouts with cancer and renal failure forced her early retirement. Winifred and Richard enjoyed traveling and attended many events and tourist attractions. Her many hobbies included reading, cooking, sewing, stitching and collecting cook books. She is survived by her husband Richard; step-sister May Henderson of Dunn, NC; two brothers-in-law, David (Loretta) Dolecheck of Sheridan, WY; Arnold (Claudia) Dolecheck of Montgomery, AL; grandnephew Blake Donahue; two nieces; three nephews and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and foster parents. Winifred?s family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
