Born and raised in the Miles City area, Jon and Marlys graduated from Custer County High School in Miles City, and Miles Community College. Jon attended Mount Hood College of Mortuary Science where he received his degree in Mortuary Science. Jon and Marlys began their careers in the funeral industry when they purchased chapels in Baker and Ekalaka, MT in 1981. They lived in the Baker community for twenty years.
In December of 2000, Jon and Marlys purchased the Mischel-Olson Chapel (now Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory) in Dickinson where they have made their home and have enjoyed becoming involved in the community. In January of 2004, they opened a funeral chapel in Killdeer. In January of 2007, Stevenson-Mischel-Olson merged with Price Murphy Funeral Home. In the spring of 2008, they purchased the Spangelo Funeral Homes in Hebron and Glen Ullin.
Jon and Marlys have two sons, Nic (Terri) and Brandon (Wendy), and seven grandchildren, Sadie, Nate, Ali, Patrick, Delaney, Adler, and Hadley. Jon and Marlys have enjoyed living in Dickinson and are grateful for the opportunity to serve families in Southwestern North Dakota.

Nic grew up in Baker, MT where his parents owned and operated Stevenson Funeral Home. After attending college at Montana State University and Mt. Hood College of Mortuary Science, Nic and his wife Terri moved to Dickinson in 2005. Together with their five children: Sadie, Nate, Ali, Patrick, and Delaney, they have settled into the Dickinson Community and are grateful for the friendships and opportunities that have developed over the years.
Kirsten Robertson was born and raised in Rhame, ND. She graduated from Bowman County High School. After graduation, she attended Dickinson State University. It was during this time that she began working for Stevenson Funeral Home. Kirsten then moved to Oregon and graduated from the Mortuary Science Program at Mt. Hood Community College in 2014. She returned to Dickinson and continued working for Stevenson’s. She married Kenzie Robertson on September 16, 2016 and they have made their home in Dickinson. They are blessed with two daughters, Brooklyn and Briar. Kirsten is grateful for the opportunity to serve families in the area with Stevenson Funeral Home.
Jacklyn was born in El Segundo, California and raised in Forest Grove, Oregon. She met Evan Kinto her junior year of high school and they were married in Hawaii on September 18, 2013. Jacklyn graduated from the Mortuary Science Program at Mt. Hood Community College in 2014. After graduation, Jacklyn, Evan, and their son Talon moved to Dickinson where Jacklyn began working at Stevenson Funeral Home, and Evan began working as a police officer. Jacklyn and Evan have three children - Talon, Blake, and Kroy.
Zoe Fath was born in Mankato, MN and raised in Dickinson, ND. She graduated from Trinity High School in 2017. After high school, she attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in May of 2020. In August of 2022, she graduated from Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado with an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science in Mortuary Science.
Zoe has been part of the Stevenson team since June of 2019, when she started as a part-time funeral assistant. After her graduation from UMary in May of 2020, she began working full-time. She became a fully licensed funeral director in October of 2022.
Zoe enjoys reading, spending time with her dog, Kali, and watching her sister play softball at Dickinson State University.
Doris Marsh joined the Stevenson Funeral Home family as Office Assistant on April 19, 2011. Because of the caring and compassionate experiences she has had with the Stevensons’, and her desire to work in an office atmosphere, she knew it would be a job she would enjoy. Having worked in direct sales (Creative Memories) for 15 years, she truly enjoys meeting and helping people remember and celebrate the lives of their loved ones. Doris looks forward to extending a hand shake, a hug or a simple smile to families in their time of sadness, helping to make their experience at Stevenson Funeral Home a comforting one.
Doris lives northwest of Dickinson, where she and her husband, Duane ran a dairy business for 28 years. After Duane’s sudden death on May 9, 2014, Doris continues to farm and run beef cattle with her son, Emerson. Doris and Duane were married for 32 years and have five grown children, seven grandsons, and three granddaughters; Vanna & Rob, Isaiah, Lucah, Noah, Ella, and Ezra Gassmann; Amy, Brayden and Jaxson Anton; Larissa Marsh; Brielle & Tim, and Ensley Bullinger; and Emerson & Amber, Madison Marsh and Griffin Hoheisel. She enjoys spending time with the grandkids, family and friends, fishing and camping. During her spare time Doris enjoys creating digital storybooks and dabbling with her home businesses.
Kendall Allerdings grew up on a farm and ranch in the Baker-Plevna, MT area. After high school, he went to work in the hydraulic repair and service sector serving the coal, agriculture, oil, and gas industries. Kendall is married to Michelle and has three children – Marcail, Makena, and Kaden. He has been working with Stevenson Funeral Home and Crematory since July 2017. He received his certification through the National Funeral Directors Association as a crematory operator and is currently running the Stevenson Funeral Home Crematory. Kendall enjoys serving the people of Dickinson and the surrounding areas.
